recognition to individuals whose contributions to the art and science of electro- and information technologies world-wide have improved the quality of daily life.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Is knowledgeable of IEEE governance documents as they relate to Awards & Recognition, including IEEE Bylaws, Policy & Procedures, and RAB Operations Manual

Maintains historical records of Section awards distributed. Passes records on to new chair at the end of the year.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Submits any new Section award to RAB

Awards & Recognition Committee for approval.

Is knowledgeable of IEEE recognition products, including pins, plaques, certificates, etc., and process for ordering.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Drafts letter for recognition of newly elevated Senior members and Fellows for signature of Section Chair, and distribution by Section Secretary.

Presides at meetings of A&R Committee. Forwards recommendations to Section Executive Committee for approval.

recommendations, to Section Executive Committee for information and, where appropriate, action

Solicits nominations for IEEE Institute-level Awards and Medals.

Passes on to successor all relevant records of office at the end of term.

The Medal of Honor, Medals, Technical Field Awards, Corporate Recognition, Service Awards, and Prize Papers.

Nominations are initiated by members and the public

reviewed by a panel of peers recommendations are submitted to the

IEEE Awards Board prior to ultimate approval by the IEEE Board of Directors.

Proposal In order to assist Sections to promote the

recognition of outstanding volunteer, it is propose to relax the max. 5 Outstanding Volunteers quota and issue the R10 Outstanding Volunteer Certificate to all nomination from Section.

Proposal Requirement

Sections participating have to install a mechanism in nomination and selection by Section Award Committee, the nomination should be endorse by Section Executive Committee

RABARC propose Large and Small Best Section Award Proposal has been finalized and would be

submitted to RAB for approval It is proposal to follow suit in R10 and split

the outstanding Section Award in each year to Outstanding Large Section Award and Outstanding Small Section Award

Additional funding is required to sponsor another representative to attend the R10 Meeting
