WHAT IS BAJA?

Pronounced (Baha), it is a tournament conducted by Society of Automotive

Engineers (SAE), where undergraduate teams participate in this design

competition and race on off road terrain.

NITK BAJA Racing is a team of 25 undergraduate students from all 4 years

and all 9 branches of engineering.

About Baja NITK Racing

Team that has taken part in ALL editions of Baja

SAE India at Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh since 2007

Participated in the inaugural edition of Baja Student

India held at NIT Jamshedpur in January, 2015

Winner of numerous awards at Baja

Only Indian team to have manufactured

8 ATVs in 7 years

Aims to participate in international

racing tournaments like Baja SAE South

Africa and Baja SAE Maryland, USA in

the upcoming racing season.
