How to make:

BAKED CINNAMON

DOUGHNUTS

Melt 50g butter in microwave

Microwave for about

20seconds

Ensure you place butter in

microwave- safe bowl

Heat 1cup of milk in microwave for 45secs

Microwave on medium-high until

heated through

(don’t allow to boil)

Pour 1tbsp melted butter into milk, stir through

1. Sift 2 ½ cups plain flour into bowl

2. Prepare ¼ cup sugar, 1½ tsp yeast & ½ tsp

cinnamon

3. Stir ingredients in using wooden spoon

Mix the wet ingredients into the dry

Make a well in the centre of the flour

mixture

Pour the milk mixture into the well

Mix to form a soft dough, roll onto floured surface

Knead for 5-10 minutes

Knead until smooth and

elastic

Place dough in lightly oiled bowl and cover with plastic wrap

Reuse bowl used to mix the dough to minimise

dishes

Place in warm place for approx. 45 minutes or until dough doubled in

size

Once dough doubled in size, use fist to punch down dough

Punch until the dough is deflated

See here the dough has doubled in size

Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface and knead until smooth

Knead

Press dough out

until approx 2.5cm thick

Line baking tray with baking paper

Using 6.5cm cutter, cut out 6

rounds

Turn oven on to 180C

Spread evenly on prepared tray

Cover with plastic wrap and stand in

warm place for 20minutes or until doubled

in size

Place doughnuts into oven

Combine ½ cup sugar and 1tsp

cinnamon in bowl

Once golden brown and cooked through, remove from oven

MAKE SURE YOU USE A DRY TEA TOWEL OR OVEN MITS TO REMOVE FROM

OVEN

Brush doughnuts with remaining

butter

Dip in sugar mixture and shake off any

excess

VOILA!!
