BCCM Saxophone Ensemble Placement

1. Be prepared to play 2 full range MAJOR SCALES of the panels choosing. Each

scale should be played 3 times in 16th notes, once all slurred, once slur 2 -

tongue 2, and once all tongued. Tempo should be the same for each scale.

2. Play each of the following 4 excerpts. The tempos and styles of each must be

researched.

3. Be prepared to play a sight-reading excerpt.
