TREATMENT & HOMEWORK

Each week, Mr. Bacon has to undergo two sessions of treatment. It is a necessary protocol for the stAte track athletes to attend treatment, so that they can remain

in the best possible shape of health, so that their level of performance on the field, can be at the highest possible point, at all times.

Treatment is held every Tuesday & Thursday at 8am, in the Tim & Terri Langford Sports Medicine Center, housed on the campus of Arkansas State

University, near the Centennial Bank Football Stadium, in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Jaylen Bacon said that although track is his way of life, school is too, because it pays for his school bills and his opportunity to compete as a college athlete,

where expenses are already paid for.

One of the classes that Bacon takes, is an art class, which he said he sometimes likes and dislikes. “I like art in itself, but I hate spending three hours of my day, every week, sitting in a classroom where I just draw. It can be extremely boring

at times,” Bacon said.

However, he said he does have a passion for it, which keeps him going when he is doing work off of the field.
