• Disability arises from the interaction between health conditions and contextual factors, both personal and environmental;
• Disability is a reality – invest in enhancement of functioning and inclusion to improve the lives of persons with disabilities;
• Language and imagery used in preventive campaigns should not denigrate existing children and adults with disabilities.
