Plastic waste Production in Egypt. - Egypt Produces annually about 16.2 millions tons of Waste. - 6% of this waste is about 970 Thousand Tons waste per year.

• Only 30 % of these are recycle 5% are reused 65% of Waste are not collected, burned in ways

that could be done incorrect which causes pollution to the surrounding environment.

• Most of the recycling manufacturer's working without license.

• The impact of 50 years of unbridled plastics production, use, and disposal is now becoming well known and documented.

• Plastics made from non-renewable petroleum and natural gas resources threaten the environment, human health, species maintenance, and the very life of the ocean.

1. Increase the public awareness about BDP.

2. More discussion with the government and decssion makers in Egypt to support the BDP work

the idea of Biodegradable Plastics.

5. Training courses in BDP in Egypt.

6. Egypt is looking for support from European

Union to increase the awareness about BDP

and to do more research about new

biodegradable polymers and more application.

7. Conferences or workshops.

8. Development of Biopolymer materials are those which employ renewable resource feed stocks. 9. Promote the application of BDP in the sector of agriculture, automotives, and packaging.
