Vishal Varma

Our Mission:Mobilize the biomedical engineering community to improve the quality of health care in

vulnerable communities of the developing world.

The Past:EWH Kit Building – Great success due to all your help and participation.

The Now:EWH Design Teams

The Goal of EWH Design Teams:• Design a cost effective, globally applicable medical device• Build prototype of the proposed device after design approval• Make accessible 'building-kits' for the device once EWH has approved the device for

global use.

Engineering World Health (EWH) Director: Vishal Varma

Who should take part in EWH? EVERYONE!

Regardless of year and major, you are a valuable asset to your team.Graduates and Undergraduates both provide valuable input. The word engineer is derived from a Latin root meaning "to create".As Bioengineers, I highly encourage you to participate.

Where does your effort go?Your work on these projects will make a difference in millions of lives around

the world.End result: Your device will be shipped to developing countries improving

healthcare for thousands.

Engineering World Health (EWH) Director: Vishal Varma

Design Teams research, design,

and create prototypes.

Get prototype manufactured into

kits.

Have high school students assemble
