28 February 2011 – 2 March 2011, Ekaterinburg

Venue Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute of Metal Physics Ekaterinburg

Background information In the framework of the ERA.NET-RUS project, PILOT JOINT CALLS (PJC) of interested programme owners in the Member States of the European Union (MS); the Associated Countries to the 7th Framework Programme (AC) and Russia will be launched in February 2011. Pilot Joint Calls will cover two types of joint activities, namely collaborative S&T projects and Innovation Projects.

A brokerage event is organised in Ekaterinburg, on 28 February – 2 March 2011 in order to promote the Pilot Joint Calls and allow for networking.

Objectives The objectives of the Brokerage Event are:

To present all information and requirements to participate in the ERA.Net-RUS Pilot Joint Call

To give potential participants from Europe and Russia the opportunity to present their project ideas to an international audience

To initiate cooperation in the fields addressed by the Call and facilitate the setting up of project consortia.

Participation in the partnering event is free of charge for selected participants and offers a unique possibility to contribute to EU-Russia scientific cooperation.
