Mission Statement

• To empower local Municipalities in Gloucester County to revitalize difficult properties by providing redevelopment strategies and tools for the purpose of building healthy and sustainable communities.

Redeveloping and Cleaning up contaminated and underutilized properties through:

1. Creating strategic partnerships with:– The Gloucester County Improvement Authority– NJ EDA– NJ Smart Growth- BRIT (Brownfield/Redevelopment

Interagency Taskforce)

– NJ DEP– Municipal Government– Real Estate Brokers– Financial Institutions– Redevelopers

Redeveloping underutilized properties through:

2. Providing a forum for communities across the County to overcome brownfield barriers and share lessons learned regarding tools, strategies, funding resources and public/private partnerships;

3. Providing technical assistance and training to local communities about Brownfields Redevelopment;

4. Show casing examples of local successful brownfields programs and projects.

Redeveloping underutilized properties through:

5. Representing local communities and projects to the Department of Environmental Protection. (BRIT)

6. Providing redevelopment professionals to aid every municipality in designating redevelopment areas.

7. Marketing projects at various Brownfields and Redevelopment conferences as well as the county website.
