Brushing teeth needs to be part of a child’s regular routine. The

health of their baby teeth and gums will affect their permanent

teeth and overall health. They need to brush at least two times

a day for two minutes, once after breakfast and once before

bed. If your child doesn’t like brushing their teeth, brush with

them or sing a song while they are brushing and praise their

efforts. You can allow your child to pick out their own toothbrush

and child’s toothpaste. Allow them to brush their own teeth,

either before or after you do a more thorough job for them. http://dentistry.about.com
