Senecas accelerated part-time Building Environmental Systems - BES Operator Class II certificate for
Internationally Trained Professionals provides specialized training and professional networks to help

The BES Operator Class II certificate program builds on your pre-existing international education
and experience to equip you to work as a BES certified building operator. This program will provide

EMPLOYMENT
The Seneca BES certificate program has been designed to
provide graduates with the necessary knowledge and skills to
lead to professional employment.
Dedicated, experienced staff, including job jevelopers,
employment consultants and industry experts, will help you
on your search to secure paid employment in the rapidly
expanding field of building operations and maintenance.
Leverage Senecas extensive industry network to connect with
employers and maximize these career opportunities through
personalized coaching.
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION
Upon successful completion of the BES certificate, students
are eligible for BES Operator Class II certification, recognized
by the Toronto Building Managers and Operators Association
(TBMOA).
With the completion of 2 additional courses, you may upgrade
your designation to Class I, the most highly recognized
Building Operator certification available, as well as obtain a
professional designation as a Systems Maintenance Technician
(SMT) with the Building Owners and Managers Institute
(BOMI) and registration on the Energy Training Ontario
Registry and the Inter-Provincial Facility Training Accreditation
Council (IFTAC).

DELIVERY MODEL
The BES Operator Class II certificate program is offered in
a unique, accelerated part-time format with classes held on
evenings and Saturdays for only 24 weeks. Additionally, you
may be eligible to have some of the program costs covered
through bursaries and training subsidies.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA/ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
A relevant degree or diploma from an accredited institution
outside of Canada
Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) Assessment at a
minimum of Level 7
Permanent Resident, Internationally Trained Canadian
Citizen, or Protected Person as defined in Section 95 of the
IRPA and a resident of Ontario
