How deep is the Bay?
Where does the water in the Bay come from?
WATERSHED: the area of land which drains into a river, stream, or other body of water
The San Francisco Bay is an ESTUARY:
A partially enclosed body of water where FRESH water and SALT water meet
and mix.
What is a WETLAND?
A WETLAND is an area of land that is covered with water all or part of the time.
There are 3 major kinds of wetlands

(schoolbooks, etc.)
What to wear and bring
• Dress In layers—clothes you can get WET or MUDDY
• Wear closed-toed shoes or sneakers• Bring lunch and WATER• Bring hat and sunscreen
