The project which started canvasartdubai.

Originally photographed in 2006, the emerging skyline was captured. Working in photoshop the image was simplified to

give a clear outline of the skyline.

I am often asked why the image is not correct, but this is the essence of what the image means to me. It is simply a

moment of time which has been captured. The skyline is continually changing, yet we do not notice that

change.

BiographyHaving lived in the middle east for many

years, my keen interest in photography and design was taken to a new level when I moved

into Dubai, The remarkable structures that have been

built around Dubai inspired me to develop my portfolio from portraiture to include the

stunning architecture that we take for granted. My work takes images that people see every

day and translates them into pieces of art, stripping away the colour and confusion to give a clean and calm impression of Dubai.

Working from original photographs taken by myself I digitally manipulate them and turn

them into different pieces of art.I started selling my works at the ARTE souk in late 2008 and encouraged by comments and

sales I am continually developing my style and expanding my portfolio.
