Can policy creation keep up?

Do specific Practice Policies (in hospitals) allow for innovation to flurish?

Is the wording supportive of innovation and EBP changes?

BUT WE NEED POLICIES (REMEMBER THE LAWYERS)

Have a policy on innovationInnovation

Easy as small pilot projects

“Leaders tend to delay process modifications until there is significant research & documented evidence for new processes”

If you do this---its too late

SO WE NEED TO COMPRIMISE

We need Policy & Innovation ---BALANCE THEM

ClockwareAlgorithms, giving report, Code Arrests

SwarmwarePatient flow, staffing patterns, leadership styles, staff identified problems
