10

FLEXIM Results

• Flexim had installed 15 Dual Channel

meters through the site.

• All 8 Generator’s Supply and Return

lines were all measured simultaneously

Transducer Location

(supply)

• The average flow rate measured on

Generator supply lines was 2.3 Gpm

much less that the required 3.5 Gpm.

11

FLEXIM Results

Typical Results of Generators 1-7 during intermittent runs.

12

FLEXIM Results

Heavy aeration was also present in the supply line of Generator #8.

13

FLEXIM Results

Air bubbles at one point became visible through the glass Fuel Filter/separator.

This confirmed that the Flexim results were accurate.

14

FLEXIM Results

In the basement, Flexim meter revealed that the

first three pipes to the left were heavily

Aerated and most of the fuel flowed through the

4th pipe (to the right).

15

FLEXIM Results

The main fuel line would provide

constant flow of fuel for 30 seconds

before it chocked out. The drop in

Gpm’s was displayed on the Flexim

meter.

was due to the Flexim

readings

 It became evident that the

valve screen was clogged

with debris

18

Customer Satisfaction

System was enhanced to address issues detected by Flexim (ex. installed valves,

pressure gages etc.)

Jacobs and the Engineering team had a clear insights into the problems plaguing the

performance of the system.

Main pumps were prevented from being damaged.

Generators were prevented from being damaged.

Downtime was significantly reduced. Saving time and money.

Additionally:

Customer was so happy, that they are looking to purchase Flexim portable flow

meters.
