GETTING STARTED
Setup Cassia Hub
1. Unpack and connect the Cassia Hub to power with the supplied power adapter.
2. Place the Cassia Hub in an unobstructed location approximately waist high or higher.
3. Connect the Cassia Hub to the Internet in one of two ways:
a. For a wired ETHERNET connection (RECOMMENDED), please plug-in an ETHERNET cable from
the Cassia Hub to your office/home router (access point).
b. To connect via Wi-Fi, you will be guided step-by-step once you install the Cassia App.
IMPORTANT: You must connect your iOS or Android mobile device in the Settings menu to an
available 2.4 GHz Wireless network. 5GHz networks are not supported on the Cassia Hub! Most
Access Points are Dual Mode offering both 2.4 and 5GHz connection options. The 5GHz option
typically has a 5 or 5G included at the end of the SSID name to indicate the 5GHz connection.
In order to switch and use a different Access Point (Wi-Fi Router) after your Cassia Hub has been
successfully setup and connected, please see Tips, Tricks, and Troubleshooting instructions

provided on page 8 or connect the Access Point directly to the Cassia Hub via an ETHERNET
connection.
Get the Cassia App for iOS or Android
1. Go to App Store on your iPhone or Google Play on your Android phone
and search for “Cassia Hub”.
2. Tap on Cloud / Install to start download, then tap on Open when download
is complete.
3. When prompted to accept Notifications, please tap on OK.
Login or Create Account with the Cassia App
1. If you are not already logged into Cassia App, tap on Cassia Hub app icon on your
phone’s desktop menu.
2. If you already created a Cassia Account, please enter your phone number
and password to log-in.
3. If you don’t have an account, tap on the SIGN UP.
4. Enter your Mobile Phone number for the Phone that you are creating your
account number on and the phone you plan to use with the Cassia Hub.
5. Tap on SEND button to send an SMS message notification to your phone.
6. Once you receive the notification on your phone, enter the number in the
SMS code field.
7. Enter a password.
8. Retype your password (when prompted).
9. Make sure the check box is checked indicating that you accept the Terms of Service.

10. Tap on “SIGN UP”.
Connecting the Cassia Hub to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi Network
Once you successfully create an account or login, you will be prompted to connect to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network as
follows:
Troubleshooting: If the Cassia Hub fails to make a successful network connection please double
check that your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz Access Point (in the Settings menu on your phone).
Connect Cassia Hub to Bluetooth Speaker(s)
Power on Bluetooth speaker & enter pairing mode (see manufacturer instructions; Cassia speaker’s power on
automatically into pairing mode). In the Cassia App, please proceed as follows:

Note: Once connected, most Bluetooth speakers will stop flashing and display a solid LED on front of speaker.
Important Troubleshooting Tips:
• If you do not see any LED activity on the Bluetooth Speaker make sure that that speaker is powered
on and has a sufficient battery charge.
• If Bluetooth speaker does not appear on the list of available devices when scanning, press the Stop
button and try again.
• If you are still not seeing the speaker, please double check that speaker is in pairing mode.
Primary way to Play Music using Cassia BlueStreamTM from any Bluetooth Device & App
Important: For best results, please place your music source close to or within line of site of the Cassia Hub.
Alternate way to Play Music using Airplay & Native App (iOS only)

In the same manner that speakers are connected to the Cassia Hub, please make sure your Cassia compatible
Smart Device is turned on. Once installed, please proceed as follows in the Cassia App:

Connecting to an Unknown Bluetooth Low Energy (4.0) Device via Bluetooth Relay
In many cases, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) manufacturers & developers encode a custom Bluetooth profile
inside their BLE devices that is not recognizable by the Cassia Hub, unless the profile has been integrated into
the Hub. In this scenario, the Cassia Hub is limited to connecting and passing through control of a BLE device to
its Native App where only one device can be controlled at a time. We call this mode Bluetooth Relay. In order
to connect and control these types of devices, users must do the following:

Once your BLE device is connected to the Hub using the Cassia App, please proceed as follows:
1. Place the BLE device out of standard Bluetooth range of your phone (E.g. at least 50 feet)
2. Stand next to the Hub with your phone to pair to the relayed signal coming from your Hub
3. Open your BLE device’s native app
4. Follow your Device’s native app for device pairing instructions
Note: In some cases the App may see two device names, which means that your BLE device is still in range of
your phone app. Continue moving the device away from your phone, until you only see one Device name
available for pairing. Then, proceed to pair with the one device.
Important: BLE devices that require a “pairing pin” or “security pin” do not currently work with the Cassia Hub.

Tips, Tricks & Troubleshooting
1. On Main screen, tap on Speaker icon to assign speaker left, center or right. Then type on upper right
gear icon on speaker setup page, to assign to different room, rename, or remove speaker.
2. During playback, if multi-speaker audio playback gets out of sync, press Pause/Play, Forward, or Back on
the Audio controls screen in the Cassia Hub app and the streams will be re-sync’d. We recommend you
use speakers from the same manufacturer for best audio syncing. If speakers are from different
manufacturers, you may have to place them in different rooms to avoid syncing issues.
3. Tap on Scene icon at the bottom of the Main screen to setup If-this-than-that (IFTTT) logic.
E.g. Turn on your lights each morning at 7:00AM.
4. To associate a new user profile with a Cassia Hub that is already in use, you must be invited by the Host
Profile. To do this, Host must proceed as follows:
a. Tap on USER CENTER
b. Tap on MY HOME
c. Tap on MEMBERS
d. Tap on INVITE A MEMBER.
Note: In the user’s phone contact list, they must select the mobile number matching the profile of the
new user. If it does not already exist, the Host must add the user’s mobile phone number to their
phone’s contact directory
5. Once you have successfully connected to a WiFi network, in order to switch and use a different Access
Point (WiFi Router), you will need to proceed as follows:
a. Connect your iOS or Android mobile device to new WiFi network in Settings menu on device
b. Reset the Cassia Hub -
i. Locate LED on back of Hub
ii. While powered on, take a paper clip and insert it into the LED hole
iii. Depress and hold down the LED switch for approx. 4 seconds or until the LED starts to
flash rapidly
iv. The reset process is complete when the LED starts to flash red slowly
c. Connect Cassia Hub to new Access Point (WiFi Router) using the Cassia App
i. Start Cassia App
ii. Tap on “Cassia Hub is offline, Tap to Reconnect” notification message
iii. Tap on “Modify WiFi Password” and follow the onscreen instructions
