It has been a fantastic ride since the new team came on board of
the Eddy Merckx Cycles company. We have professionalised our
supply chain, IT, and R&D and are now focusing on international
growth under the leadership of Rob Beset, our new CEO. Rob has
over 25 years’ experience in the bicycle industry and has deep-rooted
product knowledge and a profound understanding of international
distribution structures. His ambition is to make The Eddy Merckx
Cycles company shine in the top elite of our industry.
So yes, we are in a winning mood. And for good reason. In recent years
the company has explored new avenues and has fully embraced
groundbreaking technologies. As a result, an ever-increasing number
of professional and amateur cyclists choose to ride our bikes on
their journey to success. For everyone in the company, this is an
exhilarating and stimulating experience that has led us to accelerate
the development of several exciting new bikes which were all named
after one of my wins.
— First there is the Mourenx69. This new endurance bike
was specially designed for those who like to break away from the
pack and have the strength to persevere. This bike is excellently
built and so well balanced that I consider it to be an insurance to
winning tough races. It is definitely the bike I would have chosen
to ride on the slopes of the Tourmalet in the 1969 Tour.
— Then there is the SanreMo76, the high-performance
racing machine in our new range. This is the bike for riders who
will go for speed and victory. It boosts your self-confidence and
helps you to surpass yourself. That alone was reason enough to
call it after my seventh victory in la Primavera.
— The Milano72 shares its main characteristics with the
SanRemo76. It is a high-performance racing bike that was care-
fully designed to fit the needs of female athletes and let them
excel in cycling.
— Finally, we proudly introduce a cyclo-cross bike, the eeklo70.
This is the bike I would have loved to ride on the cobbled roads
of Paris-Roubaix.
Like I said at the beginning of this preamble: the Eddy Merckx
Cycles company is in a winning mood. And that is just the mood we
like to share with you.
I wIsh you all
good luck,

To make sure that every bike in the range gives
you absolute “Power under control”, our design
engineers concentrate on 4 aspects: speed,
stiffness, stability and safety.
We know that ‘power’ needs to be properly controlled, that’s why our frames are designed and built to be stiff and rigid, as well of course as being light.

the quality you exPect, the guaraNtee you deserve.
While all Eddy Merckx bikes have been designed for performance, they’ve
also got the added bonus of being ‘quality built’ to last a lifetime. That’s why
Eddy Merckx Cycles offers a Strict Lifetime Warranty on all new frames,
because as Eddy has said,

StiffneSS Speed Safety Stability
The use of special materials and con-
struction techniques means that each
Eddy Merckx bike has a truly outstanding
structural performance, and virtually zero
distortion on the frame when under the
highest load.
Eddy Merckx Cycles have always been
built for speed and performance. The
bikes look fast and are fast, having
been tested by our Teams and by Eddy
of course, who knows a good bike when
he sees one.
A strong and rigid frame is not only the
best way to get top performance (no
distortion, no twisting), it’s also the best
guarantee for a safe and secure ride, so
much so that all our new frames have a
Strict Lifetime Warranty.
The shape, geometry and materials used
combine to give you full confidence at
every speed – a prerequisite for fast
and assured cycling.

the best balaNced bike iN the world
The EMX 525 is named after the 525 victories Eddy Merckx
amassed in the course of his career as a racing cyclist. Both the
design and a unique carbon fiber mix used for the construction
lend the bike its remarkable stiffness and stability and prevent it
from distorting and twisting. The EMX 525 is so well-balanced that
virtually all of a rider’s power is converted into rapid forward motion
with little or no wastage. This is the kind of bike that makes you
win whenever you feel victory is within your grasp. FM-R859 UCI测试标

When Eddy Merckx took the lead in the most memorable stage
of the 1969 Tour de France, he rode solo for 140 kilometers and
arrived 8 minutes ahead of his contenders. He went for the long
escape. And won his first Tour de France.
This epic win provided the inspiration for an amazing endurance
race bike. With its slightly higher head tube and shorter top
tube, the Mourenx69 is perfectly tuned to the needs of the long
distance racers.

That is precisely what Eddy Merckx did. He was driven by a desire
to get better, more effective and faster. He dedicated himself to
speed training and systematically pushed his boundaries. And it
paid off. He rode Milan-SanRemo nine times and was the only one
in history to win the race seven times.
The SanRemo76 celebrates this record number of wins. With its
compact seatstays, lower head tube and longer top tube it is
perfectly geared to aggressive riding.

MoureNx69 versus saNreMo76 whiCh is bEsT fOr yOU?
Both bikes are high-end racing machines made of the same ultra-
light and stiff carbon materials, boasting the same exceptional
power transfer. Deciding which one is best for you comes down to
personal preference and style.
If you don’t mind turning out in all weathers and enjoy cycling
on your own, then you may consider the Mourenx69. This bike
was designed for cyclists who love riding long distances and take
pride in breaking their own personal records. Whether you are,
or aspire to be, a Gran Fondo rider, this is most likely the perfect
bike for you.
If, on the other hand, you are keen on more competitive cycling,
you may feel more attracted to the high-performance SanRemo76.
With its slightly more aggressive appearance, this racing machine
is ideal for cyclists who love to ride fast and want to compare
themselves against other riders. This bike is the right choice for
any cyclist who loves a sporty riding experience and wants to train
his physical and mental resistance.

Mourenx69 refers to Merckx’s win in the 17th stage of the 1969
Tour de France. This 214.5 km epic ride from Luchon to Mourenx
provided the inspiration for an exceptional endurance race
bike. Its asymmetric chainstay ensures perfect balance while
its downsized BB and longer seatstays provide maximum shock
absorption. The bike also has a slightly higher head tube and
shorter top tube enabling a more upright position, which is crucial
for long distance races.Asymmetric chainstay

As the name indicates, the SanRemo76 is meant as a tribute to
Merckx’s unbroken record of 7 victories in la Primavera. This
high-performance race bike is designed and built for racers who
focus on speed. Its longer top tube and lower head tube ensure
a leaning forward aerodynamic position. Combined with the
compact seatstays and oversized BB this accommodates a more
aggressive riding style.

The Milano72 commemorates Eddy Merckx’s hard-fought victory in
the 1972 edition of the Giro d’Italia. After having won four stages
he finished first in Milan and established his supremacy as an ace
cyclist. As women’s road racing is becoming more prestigious and
female riders are striving to maximise their athletic achievements
there is an ever greater need for high performance bikes such as
the Milano72, which has been specifically designed around the
female geometry.
