Break participants into 4-5 groups
Read each scenario and try to put them in order from the least to most sensitive

Lacks capacity to respond effectively to the needs, interests and preferences of diverse groups; not deliberately harmful but doing so anyway
“Color-blind”—unaware of how the dominant culture may erase cultural distinctions that are valuable
Recognizes that differences are important, but lacking the skills to respond in an appropriate fashion. Tendency to tokenize
Awareness of what one knows and does not know. A recognition of the variety of experiences and perspectives
Working “with” not “for” people of difference. Motivation to build partnerships among diverse groups.
