Week 2 Worksheets

This section has the worksheets for your “Caterpillar to Butterfly” theme. (Week 2). All sheets are in order and labeled for each day the sheets are to be used. Print up the number of sheets you need each day. Worksheets are theme related and also include the letter C, number 2, shape circle and color blue. Print up sheets on regular copy paper. For better durability, you can use card stock. Don’t be limited by your imagination – use markers, colored pencils, paint, paint daubers, etc. Don’t just stick to crayons. ☺

Shake-it-up Rhythm (hearing, sight)

• Fill a small, clear Tupperware container with dried beans.

• Close and seal securely with strong tape such as duct tape.

• Let infant use this as a special shaking toy. • Infant can see the beans making the sound and

understand the cause-and-effect relationship. Get creative with items to put in the container to make different sounds.

• Also try putting colorful items in the container to add more visual interest.

• (Safety Tip: Never allow baby to play with this unsupervised.)

Print up ahead of time, and trim down. Have the children color. Add this sheet to the butterfly sheet the children did last week. You will add more pages during the month to make a butterfly information book at the end of this theme.

Butterfly Mask Print up on white card stock. Let the children decorate their mask with markers, paint, tissue paper, etc. Cut out the eyes and mask. Laminate and tape a craft stick to one side for the children to use when holding the mask up to their face, or punch a hole on either side and use yarn or string to tie around the child’s face.

Caterpillar to Butterfly Puppets – Print up on white card stock. Give each child 2 puppets. Have them color and cut out on circles. Tape or glue a craft stick to the back of each circle to make a puppet.

Flash Cards Print up letter C and number 2 flash cards onto white card stock. Separate. Have children color and cut out. Practice saying the letter and number with the children. Don’t send home this week. Keep and add next week’s flash cards to these and hook together with yarn, bread tie or a key ring.
