I was born in New Jersey but I grew up in California. I got into photography at an early age and continued to explore the art throughout my childhood and eventually pursued a Professional Degree in Photography. After college, I continued to learn and develop my own technique and style and settled on journalism and scenic photography as my primary subjects.

With the advent of the digital camera, I was drawn to the ability to combine my technological background with my art.I currently use a Canon.

I strongly believe in photography, not only as a fine art form, but more importantly as a method of communication.

We are Josh and Sienna Armstrong, a husband and wife photography team from Santa Maria.

We use a Canon 5D and Canon 5D Mark II with prime lenses.

We both got into photography after taking a course in high school. That’s about the only formal training we’ve had. We spend our weekends trying new things.

We have been taking photos as a rewarding side job for the last 6 years.

Our favorite things to shoot are weddings and nature scenes from our travels.

Cask & Cork Bistro-Pourhouse is the newest restaurant hot spot in the Central Valley. Right in the heart of North Fresno off Friant & Ft. Washington, Cask & Cork has quickly become the new hangout for couples of every age. We were excited to find out what all the buzz was about!

Enjoying the hip decor and intimate atmosphere, we sampled Cask & Cork’s fine wine selection as we munched on the baked goat cheese appetizer. Creamy and thick with a hint of tomato, the truffled goat cheese spread over flat bread slivers was a delightful snack!

We then shared Cask & Cork’s popular short rib tacos. Loaded with southwestern flavor, the slow-cooked shredded short ribs are topped with corn cilantro and red pepper aioli sauce. The three crispy tacos were savory, a bit sweet, and the perfect snack for two!

For my entree, I ordered the seared salmon salad. The large salmon filet, served over baby spinach with avocado corn salsa, was light and delicious. With strawberries, red onion, feta cheese, and a mandarin orange poppy seed dressing, this eclectic salad is perfect for lunch or dinner!

He had the stuffed chicken breast, a tender chicken breast stuffed with sun-dried tomatoes, prosciutto, basil, and asiago cheese. This dish was moist and delicious!

We finished our meal with the bread pudding bites. These crispy-edged fluffy squares with baked in caramel chunks are pure deliciousness! They are topped with vanilla ice cream and Cask & Cork’s homemade caramel sauce. I highly recommend this dessert at any time.

Cask & Cork also has a popular Sunday Brunch and will soon be showcasing live music! Their acoustic series “UNCORKED” will be on Wednesdays, with national touring acts as well as local talent! CCM
