Program (AIP) development by
Celebes Seaweed Group (CSG) July - December 2016

General Information
Celebes Seaweed Group (CSG) formed in 2008 is one of the companies in the scheme of the group engaged in the trade seaweed gracilaria. Departing from
the Cooperative Agroniaga, CSG applies insklusif system, involving all stakeholders that can help and cooperate, the system value chain for efficiency at every
stage of the business, namely the stage of production (farmers), distribution (node farmer), packing house, ware house. Currently the group CSG, consisting
of 9 (nine) home containers, by organizing farmers in cooperatives Agroniaga (consultants and farmers), FINGERPRINT (distribution agencies), MCF
(consultants and farmers), ATM (transportation agency) as a system based on collaboration and transparency. CSG facilitate SMEs SE0 = 0Sulawesi 11 South,
to streamline the movement of seaweed CSG pick the motto, "Work Smart, Prosperity Together".
In 2015, the number of farmers who were members of the CSG were approximately 2,500 people with 9 packing house scattered in Palopo, Luwu Timur,
Bone, Takalar, Bulukumba, Takalar, Makassar. In addition, CSG cooperation in planted operational seaweed in the district. Cenrana, Kab. Bone. CSG was not
so concerned with the mechanism of Business for profit-sharing business, but to put forward a higher profit on CSG members. CSG has a public service
programs, such as building schools and building a soccer field for local community activities. In addition, there is a no-interest loans for employees CSG. CSG
CSG members endeavor to strengthen, because with the strong members of the CSG will also be getting stronger.
CSG joined the Seafood Savers with expectations gracilaria cultivation practices in the supply chain CSG in the district. Bone and Takalar can be done in a way
that is more responsible. Seafood Savers Signer membership agreement for CSG conducted on June 15, 2016, in Bali at the time of the Annual Meeting
Seafood Savers. The news article Seafood Savers membership agreement signing for the CSG can be accessed through:

Aquaculture Practice
Commodity Name : Seaweed Gracilaria / Sango-sango / Gracilaria verrucosa
Aquaculture Metod : Traditional aquaculture methods
Price Range : IDR 3.500 - 7.500 / kg
Formerly, most of the ponds South Sulawesi, especially in Bone and Takalar District, apply intensive Tiger Shrimp (Peneaus monodon) aquaculture
ponds, but since the last 10 years began to be converted into aquaculture ponds Gracilaria (Gracilaria verrucosa). The cultivation of seaweed
Gracilaria at 2 (two) this region traditionally maintained; using the methods of cultivation in ponds freelance basis. The process of cultivation takes
place in polyculture (milkfish) with 1 cycle of cultivation maintenance period ranges from 40-45 days. Each year, farmers were able to carry out the
cultivation of Gracilaria 1-8 cycle. The land area of pond reaches 1-8 ha are generally located in the estuary of the river. Tambak include 1-2 floodgate
has been fitted NYPA or waring as a sieve. The depth of water for cultivation of seaweed Gracilaria is 50-70 cm. In the process of cultivation, water
change is done 3-5 times a week by relying on the tides. Source seedlings came from the vicinity of each pond and harvested as young as 20-25
days. Harvesting is done at the age of seaweed Gracilaria reached 40-45 days, Gracilaria ready for harvest lifted from the bottom of ponds and then
rinsed with water ponds, after it was put on the boat cork and then lifted into embankment to do drying. The harvesting process is usually carried
out during the morning hari. The drying gracilaria harvest took place over waring along the dike embankment. The drying is 1 day old, depending on
weather conditions.
