I. Celebration of National Mathematics Day 2019 at Indian Institute of
Science, Bengaluru
KSCST celebrated National Mathematics Day on 24th December 2019 to mark
the birth anniversary of legendary Indian mathematician Srinivasa
Ramanujan and his contributions in the field of mathematics at Prof. Satish
Dhawan auditorium, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. About 350 high
school students from BBMP, government and aided high schools participated
in the programme.
The programme was inaugurated by Prof. Vittal Rao, Former Professor,
Department of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. He
addressed the gathering regarding the importance of Mathematics in day to
day life. He also explained about the opportunities available in the field of
Maths. Mr. H. Hemanth Kumar, Executive Secretary, KSCST also addressed
