“Dare To Dream” project aims at guiding young people to gain the of dream through providing chances to get them to know the world mutually

Thingsto do

First week in Beijing> Departed on June 30, 2014 > Felt nervous that no one will pick us up at the airport > Arrived Beijing at 8PM and transferred to the hostel

Hostel> In the centre of Beijing > Comfortable and clean with acceptable price > Many youths

New Experience there> Changed the bed sheet by myself > Sharing room and toilet with other people from

many different countries > Washing my own clothes > Had many international friends

Renmin University of China

Took around 2 hours from the hostel to school by walking and taking subway

What did I do there?> Doing AIESEC Roll Call every morning > Training Classes: designing class courses, hearing a speech from a

professor on “How to be a good teacher” > Culture sharing to other EPs and giving them our souvenirs and snacks > Taking around 5 days and 6 hours per day for that > Dividing EPs into 2 groups, one to teach in Hunan province and another

one to teach in Heilongjiang province

> Due to the hot weather in Hunan, we can’t adapt to it, so we asked AIESEC there to switch us to Heilongjiang

> Going earlier to Herbin, Heilongjiang, to wait our friends and continuing to Mudanjiang for 17 hours by train

What did i Teach them?> 8 English lessons (90 minutes per lesson) > Culture sharing to every class > Universal knowledge > General knowledge > Sport class > Debate class > Sport meeting event

In-class activities

Sport Meeting event> Get in touch with each other > Friendship and peace > Healthy > Friendly competition > Interesting and fun > Encouraging them to study hard > Know how to work as a team

Closing Ceremony

Gains> Got certificate from AIESEC > Experience in teaching > Representing Cambodia to share culture > Improving my English and Chinese speaking > Flexible and responsible > Knowing how to live alone without parents > Experiencing something new > Traveling to many places > Being more open-minded, friendly and easy-going > Experiencing culture shock > Enriching my confident and acquiring new skills

Pains> Having financial problem > Having food poisoning > Not having shower place > Having slow internet access
