Equality Duty:*
• I think the Charter makes good reference to the customer service element that employers should expect. I am not sure, however, that this is currently achieved across College, and would worry that our service currently falls below this. Suggest also that the team “Access to high quality resources” is amended to include reference to “high quality up to date resources”.
• We need to improve our enquiries system, it is not systematic nor can you depend on it to be accurate and timely. IAG good for FE but needs improving for HE. No issues with Equality and Diversity.
• Succinct yet gives adequate coverage.
• As an Employer it is clear what I will get and how to work with the College. It is also clear what the College will deliver. It is important that support and checks are in place to ensure the delivery of these commitments.
• Very clear and thorough. The fact that you are consulting on this demonstrates that you are committed to working with employers and partners. Our only suggestion is that you revisit ‘We ask Employers to’ section and reword some of the bullet points so that it flows.
• Good approach which makes clear to employers their role!
• Meets all our expectations.
• Felt the first paragraph of Charter for Employers could be made clearer, had to read several times to fully understand.
• I think the Charter is well on the way to meeting the expectations of industry standards from education. Reaseheath service standards need working on but I have noticed improvements in the last few months.
• Do we need a comment on maintaining confidentiality of information given to us by
employers?
