TheCEOwillensurethatBaseballAustralia(BA)isaprofessional,progressive,andinnovativeorganisationwhichrepresentsitsmember’sbestinterestsatalltimesinaresponsibleandethicalmanner.ThispositionisaccountableforensuringthesuccessfulfutureoftheBAowned,AustralianBaseballLeague(ABL),ensuringtheongoingfinancialviabilityoftheABLwhileeffectivelymanagingtheABL’skeystakeholders.TheofficeofBaseballAustraliaiscurrentlylocatedontheGoldCoast,althoughconsiderationwillbegiventotheCEObeinginanothercapitalcity.WhatdoestheChiefExecutiveOfficerdo?TheChiefExecutiveOfficerisresponsibleforprovidingleadership,directionandoverallmanagementoftheactivitiesandservicesofBA.Infulfillingtheseduties,theChiefExecutiveOfficerwillbeexpectedtoachievepositiveoutcomesforthefollowingduties,including:StrategicPlanningandPolicy• Initiate,developandimplementstrategy,appropriatepoliciesandpractices.Financial• InconjunctionwiththeBoard,manageBAoperationsefficientlyandprofitably,ensuringrevenuesourcesarediverseand

stabletounderpinthedeliveryofBAservices.• EnsureBAisawareofsourcesofgrantsandmakestimelyapplications,administerstheprogramsinaprofessionalmanner

andcompletesallgrantsfundingreporting.

Participation• GrowthegrassrootsbaseofthesportandfacilitatetheintroductionandestablishmentoftheAustralianT-Ballprogram

throughbothschoolsandClubs.Leadership• Providestrong,effectiveleadershipanddirectiontoBA’sstakeholdersincludingstaff,StateandTerritorybodies,

committeesandmembers,ensuringallareworkingtowardsanagreedstrategicvisionanddirection.CommercialSponsorship• Managesponsorshipprocurement,deliveryandservice.• Implementsalesstrategiestomaximisecommercialrevenuestreams,includingrenewalsandnewbusinessacquisitionon

boththedomesticandinternationalfronts.• DevelopandimplementastrategytogloballymonetisethesportsassetsandBA’ssuiteofbrands,withafocusonthe

Asianmarket.PromotionandMarketing• EnsuretheoptimalpromotionofallBAactivities,servicesandprogramswhilebuildingtheprofileofBaseballthrough

strongbrandandcommunicationsprograms.EventandCompetitionManagement• ContributetoanddevelopBA’seventcompetitionportfolio.Contributetothesuccessfuldeliveryofeventsand

competitionsasrequired.HighPerformance• WorkwithandsupporttheNationalHighPerformanceteamtoensurethelong-termsustainabilityofallnationalteams’
