HEAD GIRL INTERVIEW: KIRSTY
Sum up your time at the Towers:
My favourite part of my time is knowing the younger
years and interacting with them, I remember how
much it meant to me.
What will you miss most?
Friendships are so special and unforgettable they
are almost part of my family.
“There is no other place like the Towers.”
Advice for the next head girl:
Enjoy it while you can, remember to do your duties,
don’t feel you need to be like the previous head girl.
Don’t be pressured to change if you are selected
because you were chosen for you are.
PLAY REVIEW: Sister Act This year’s play starred by Maisie O (Delores) who gave the preformance of a lifetime. The sisters (not the real ones!) also pulled out all the stops for a “memorable performance” which was loved by everyone. “A humorous, heartfelt story with a lovely meaning about coming together” quoted Lara V. The show was superbly directed by Mrs Nixon and Mrs Gray.

THE SNAIL REPORT
On the 10th of October 2018, the
unstoppable Towers girls set out on a
mission to visit most of the snails on the
trail. Snail’s space trail is a community
event designed to raise money for
Martlets Hospice and to encourage
people to get out and about. The trail is
held every two years, with different
animals.
In 2016, Mr Gillespie kindly sponsored
one of the snow dogs, the first trail to be
held in Brighton & Hove. This year he has
once again been ever so kind and
sponsored a snail called ‘Sparkle’
designed by artist Kim Anderson.
We started at the Marine Parade and
continued all the way along to the
station. Some of the snails we visited
include; Iris, Nee Nor, Quadrosnalia,
Sanderson, the Brightonian & a few
more. Unfortunately, the years 1, 2, 3, 4,
5, 6, 7s, 8s & 9s didn’t get a chance to
visit Sparkle but did drive past her, sitting
at her lovely home of the Dyke Road
Café.
We also were incredibly lucky to be
allowed into the Hilton Hotel, to visit
some of the baby snails, the cutest thing
ever!
On the whole, we had a lovely day out
visiting the snails and hope we will have
the chance to do it again in two years!
We raised a whopping £2,610 all in aid of
Martlets Hospice.
