A simple gesture, a sensuous feel. The fluid form of Cila was inspired by the image of layers of cloth enveloping the body. Its silhouette of smooth lines retains a graphic character from its distinctive curve –– the most essential symbol of shelter. Like being protected, like being held. The armchair offering gives extra comfort and function to Cila’s dynamic form. The new shell in polypropylene can be combined with all the existing bases of the Cila collection (steel 4-leg base, steel sled base, wooden 4-leg base, aluminum trestle base with or without castors) for diverse configurations. The chair is available in the same 5 color finishes—as Cila without armrests—and with optional upholstery, making it an easy complement to other products in the collection. An optional seat cushion in a range of colors lends greater plushness to the supportive form.

Designer

Lievore Altherr – Alberto Lievore (Bue-nos Aires, 1948) and Jeannette Altherr (Heidelberg, 1965) – begins in 2016 after a 25 year trajectory as Lievore Altherr Molina. The Barcelona-based studio specializes in product design & devel-opment, strategic consulting, creative direction, art direction, and architecture for internationally recognized design companies. Lievore Altherr develops projects using an established strategy: a creative concept integrating product design and its communication. This holistic approach, humanist character, and the search for the essential in their projects – combined with a sensibility that transmits harmony and balance – characterize the designs of Lievore Altherr.
