BD5T Specifications
BD5T is a Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE) interface between your DALI
devices and the iDALI app on your mobile devices. You can
easily control your lights and create light scenes for any
moment in the room you stay in. Now up to 16 Programmable
scene schedules can be set, and PST is required to work with
BD5T.
1. Power from DALI bus: 10.5~22.5Vdc
2. Current Draw: 30mA
3. Effective Distance: 10~30m (open area)
4. Operating Temperature: 0~50°C
6
⚫ Installation
BD5T Expandability:
Additional BD5Ts (up to a total of four) can be added to the
DALI Bus to extend remote control range. Note: The DALI Bus
can only supply a maximum of 250mA (200mA recommended
load). Please consult the table below to ensure that the DALI
Bus will not be overloaded(i.e. the PMC05 bus).
Controller Max. Current Consumption DRIVER Max. Current Consumption
DMD-A 25mA ea. LDPxxx 2mA ea.
DMD-E 20mA ea. LDMxxx 2mA ea.
DRD 15mA ea.
*PMC05 current output: 200mA max.
BD5T 30mA ea.

BD5T Installation:
⚫ Connect BD5T to DALI Bus properly and the LED indicator
will begin to flash fast. This indicates that the BD5T is
collecting system information, which takes about 30s.
When the indicator flashes slowly, data collection is
completed. Do not operate iDALI during the information
collection process.
⚫ Download and Install iDALI app from app Store
or Google play.
⚫ Tap iDALI icon or to start setup.
00 This is the screen you will see
when you begin setup.
01 If any DALI system is
registered on APP, it will appear
on the screen.
8
02 If you are setting up a new
system, please create a name for
the DALI system.
03 It will show all BD5s/BD5Ts
within your system. Select the one
you want to pair with your mobile
device. Each one will have its own
password and BDA code (e.g.
84:DD:20:E1:5D:3F, as in the
picture shown to the left). You will
need to do this for every BD5T
you wish to pair with your mobile
device.
04 The password is located on the
side of the BD5T and also on the
back of this manual.
The password cannot be changed.
Please keep it safely.
The BD5T can be linked by one
user ONLY when it is connected.
9
05 Here is where you enter the
password (BT authentication
code).
06 Press “OK”, and if your
password is accepted, the BD5T
will attempt to connect to the
DALI system (see 07). If you have
entered the wrong password, you
will need to try again.
07 After connecting with DALI
system, the setup of the BD5T is
complete. Remember, if you are
pairing multiple BD5Ts, you will
have to repeat this procedure for
each BD5T you want to pair (see
page 17 “Add BT Device”).
