Self Service Terminals (SSTs)

• Customer must be verified for every transaction

• Only South African citizens

• No documents required

• Can file without money and pay after the transaction

• Transaction will only be processed after money has

been received

• Make sure contact details are correct (email and

cellphone number)

• Customer registration

• Password reset

• Name Reservation

• Company registration with or without name

reservation (maximum of three directors, and all

directors need to be present for Department of

Home Affairs (DHA) fingerprint verification). This

service is only available for South African citizens.

• Annual Returns

SST Services (Cont.)

• Registration of Broad-Based Black Economic

Empowerment (B-BBEE) certification for Exempted

Micro Enterprises as part of company registration

process or renewal of annual returns.

• Company and Close Corporation address changes

• Company and Close Corporation financial year end

changes

• Electronic disclosure certificates

• Currently, only available at SST as part of company

registration or annual return filing

• Affidavit instead of B-BBEEE Certificates:

< R10 million (template of affidavit available on CIPC

The following CIPC services is available via e-filing.

Customers are encouraged to make use of this method

of filing:

• Register as a customer

• Name reservations and defensive name reservations

• Register a private company with a standard

Memorandum of Incorporation

• File annual returns

• Name reservations: 5 working days from the date of tracking an application

• Private company registration via e-services: 3 working days from receipt of the supporting documents

• Manual company registrations: 25 working days from the date of tracking an application

• Memorandum of Incorporation changes/special resolutions: 25 working days from the date of tracking an

application

• Changes in company director details – electronic: 5 working days from the date of receipt of the correct

documents sent to the correct email address complying with the email requirements

• Changes in company director details 30 days from the date of tracking and indexing

• Changes in CC membership – electronic: 5 working days from the date of receipt of the correct

documents sent to the correct email address complying with the email requirements

• Changes in CC membership details – manual: 30 days from the date of tracking and indexing
