How to Configure, Connect, and

Disconnect for eVPN

Navigate to https://vpn.hhs.texas.gov/ext Enter your HHS Enterprise Portal username and

password. Click “Login.”

Click “Continue.”

Follow the prompt to download the Cisco AnyConnect software.

After the download is complete, locate and run the Cisco AnyConnect Installer. Click “Next.”

Review and accept the agreement. Click “Next” to continue.

Click “Install.”

After the installation is complete, click “Finish” to exit the installation.

3. Click on the “Cisco” folder.

4. Click on the “Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client”

folder.

5. Click on the “Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client”

to start the VPN Client.

6. Once the CISCO AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client

opens, enter the following url in the white box next to

the connect button as shown below:

To establish an eVPN connection:

1. Start the CISCO AnyConnect Mobility Client (VPN

Connect).

2. Click on the “Windows Start Button” in the lower left

corner of your desktop and choose “All Programs.”

Click “Connect” to continue.

If the URL was entered correctly, you will be presented with Cisco authentication.

Enter the same username and password that you were given for access to the HHS Enterprise Portal.

Click “OK.”

If you have entered the correct credentials, and have been approved to use the VPN, you will be presented a Cisco AnyConnect Warning Message.

The warning message will include the user’s rights while connected., and must be accepted to continue.

Select “Accept” to complete your VPN connection.After a few seconds you will be fully connected to the eVPN.

To disconnect the eVPN connection:

Expand the hidden icons in the Windows Task Bar.

Double-click on the “Cisco AnyConnect Secure

Mobility Client” icon.

Click on the

Disconnect button.
