Kindness EnvelopesBring some kindness and fun into your classroom with kindness envelopes. Hang them on the wall and students can write secret compliments to classmates.

What You Will Need

Hammermill® Copy 20LB GlueScissorsOptional: Push Pins

Note: This activity involves using scissors. Havean adult cut out the templates for any little ones.

Creating Your Envelopes

1. Print out the patternedenvelope templates,or have fun makingyour own designs.

2. Cut around the templatealong the line given.

3. Flip the paper around sothat the printed patternis facing down.

6. Carefully fold the bottomflap over the side flapsand glue down in place.

7. Fold the top flap down. 8. Pin the envelope toa board, or stick itup on the wall. Havefun writing secretcompliments to yourclassmates!

5. Repeat step 4 with theright flap.

4. Fold the left flap backtowards you along thedotted lines, so thatthe pattern is now onthe outside of the fold.

3. Cut along the outline ofthe job cards.

5. Pin or glue the jobsto a board or the wall.Arrange them oncolored bulletin boardpaper for an added layerof fun.

4. Cut out the nametag templates alongthe outline.

What You Will Need

Creating Your Banners

1. Print out the coloredletters given, or color inyour own.

2. Cut out the trianglesaround the outline.

3. Measure and cut thestring. Make sure toleave enough string totie at the ends.

6. Lay the triangles out inorder to form differentwords and phrases.Glue them down inplace. Hang it up onthe wall or a board,and you have yourown custom banner.

5. To attach the stringto the banner, flip thetriangles around, fix thestring under the foldedflap and glue in place.

4. Fold the top of thetriangle backwardsalong the dotted line.
