Denim and Diamonds, Saturday, 22 August
We only have a few more weeks before we get this party started. The DENIM & DIAMONDS committee is now accepting donations for the auction during the event. Any new items donated will be placed in the silent auction to help raise money to purchase the statues of Mary of Mt. Carmel and Joseph for the sides of the sanctuary. Items that have been donated in the past were as grand as Nambé and televisions, to simple items as easy as a gift card to your favorite restaurant. The ideas are limitless to what people will bid on. The success of the auction depends on the generosity of our parishioners. If you would like to donate to the auction, please contact the church office for more information or drop off.
The DENIM & DIAMONDS event will have after dinner music provided by Howlin' Coyote. David Silva does a wonderful job of providing a nice variety of music ranging from pop, to rock, to oldies and la rancha. Everyone is given an opportunity to get up and dance.
Tickets for this event, scheduled for Saturday, August 22 at 6 p.m., set at the Prairie Star Restaurant located at the Santa Ana Golf Course, can be purchased at the church office during office hours. You can contact the church office at 505 771-8331.
Thank you for your continued support of our fundraiser as we continue to build our church!
Rosary for Military Men, Women, and their Families
Members of all faiths are invited to recite the Rosary and/or other prayers for our Men and Women in the Military and their families. Walk and pray with us as we travel from one memorial to another (weather permitting) otherwise we will be located in the Museum Hall.
If you are unable to join with us in person we request you spend a few
minutes in prayer at approximately 10:00 am on Saturday, 18 Jul at the New Mexico Veterans’ Memorial Park, 1100 Louisiana Blvd SE, Albuquerque, as we jointly pray in unity for troops and their families.
The Park consists of 26 acres of beautiful landscape dedicated to the
memories of all who have served our Nation. Statues and Monuments representing every war and conflict from the American Indian Wars to the present day.
The Rosary provides those at war a means to pray and receive solace in dark times. A particularly useful devotion, especially when it’s impractical to carry the Bible, they can reflect upon Gospel truths and mysteries.

St. Paul writes in his weakness the Lord told him “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” Our strengths come from God. But we are who choose how to use them for His Church. “Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire.” St. Catherine of Sienna
