drink. Whether you’re entertaining company or just want to drink something more interesting

than that six-pack of beer you’ve got in the fridge, there are some drinks that every guy

should know how to make.

Ready to get started?

G E T Y O U R D R I N K O N

Combine whiskey, lemon juice, and

powdered sugar in a shaker with ice, and

shake well. Strain into a whiskey sour

glass, and decorate with half-slice lemon

and cherry.

Ingredients:

• 2 oz blended whiskey

• Lemon juice (1/2 lemon)

• ½ tsp powdered sugar

• 1 cherry

• ½ slice lemon

Swirl absinthe around glass until coated.

Discard any remaining absinthe, then muddle

sugar, bitters, and water in glass with back of a

teaspoon. Fill glass with ice cubes, then pour

bourbon. Add a twist of lemon peel on top.

Ingredients:

• 1 tsp absinthe

• ½ tsp superfine sugar

• 2 dashes bitters

• 1 tsp water

• 2 oz bourbon

• Lemon peel

S A Z E R A C

Mix vodka, tomato juice, lemon juice,

and dashes of hot sauce,

Worcestershire, salt, and pepper to

taste. Shake moderately, then add to

a pre-chilled glass with ice. Add

celery stalk.

Ingredients:

• 1 oz vodka

• 1 oz tomato juice

• 0.5 oz lemon juice

• 1 celery stalk

• Hot sauce, Worcestershire

sauce, salt, and pepper

Using an old-fashioned glass

filled with ice, pour vodka and

coffee liqueur. Fill remainder of

glass with light cream.

Ingredients:

• 2 oz vodka

• 1 oz coffee liqueur

• Light cream

In a mixer half full of ice cubes,

pour gin, lime juice, and twist of

lime. Stir gently, then strain into a

glass. Add lime wedge for garnish.

Ingredients:

• 1 ¼ oz gin

• 1 oz lime juice

• 1 twist lime

G I N G I M L E T

Muddle sugar, water, and bitter in an old-fashioned glass. Add bourbon, then fill glass

with ice cubes. Garnish with cherry and orange wedge.

Ingredients:

• 2 oz bourbon

• 2 dashes bitters

• 1 splash water

• 1 tsp sugar

• 1 maraschino cherry

• 1 orange wedge

O L D F A S H I O N E D

Shake cognac, crème de cacao,

and heavy cream in a shaker with

ice. Strain into a martini glass, then

sprinkle freshly ground nutmeg on

top to taste.

Ingredients:

• 1 oz cognac

• 1 oz brown crème de cacao

• 1 oz heavy cream

• Nutmeg
