The Montjuïc fountains

The Monjuïc fountains are a set of lights and water. At night, you can listen to music while you see the beautiful fountains.

The Four Columns

The Four Columns were built in 1919, and now they're next to the Montjuïc Fountains. They were built and designed by the architect Puig i Cadafalch, and they represent the four stripes of the Catalan flag.

Palau Sant Jordi

The Palau Sant Jordi was built for the Olympic Games of 1992.In the Palau Sant Jordi you can see different events, for example: basketball, tennis, handball, athletics, gymnastics, concerts...

Montjuïc Castle

It was a military fortress and after the Civil War was a military museum.It is located on top of the mountain of Montjuic. In 2009 the Military Museum closed, and today you can visit and enjoy the sea views.

Gardens of Joan BrossaThe Gardens of Joan Brossa are where there used to be an amusement park, which opened in 1966 and closed in 1998.The garden has some statues that belonged to the amusement park, and there are trees and plants of different parts of the world.

Olympic Stadium Lluís Companys

The Olympic Stadium Lluís Companys is named in honor of the former President of the Generalitat of Catalonia.It was opened in 1929 for the Universal Exhibition in Barcelona.In the 60s it was closed and abandoned, but with celebration of the Olympic Games in Barcelona in 1992 reopened.
