COMMUNICATIONS AND INFORMATION MANAGEMENT ASSESSMENT 2
Presented by Ryan Walters
The Site
The main page of the site (seen left) is the users first introduction to the whole site.
The look is clean and crisp. Text is easy to read and links are easily identifiable.
The layout stays the same for the rest of the site

Content
The standard text used throughout the entire website for all content was white 14pt Arial, this kept consistency and allowed for readable print on any browser.
Where images were included they kept with the transparent theme of the page, this was not intended, however a way of making the background translucent and the text and content not could not be found in time.
Embedded videos were added, these will play in any browser, and were easily done thanks to YouTube.
layout
The page layout is a standard two column form: on the left is the navigation bar, and on the right is heading, page heading and content. Under all this is the details bar.
Function
The function of the page is very simple.
Use of a basic layout means navigation is quick and easy, and the features of each page (content, heading, navigation, details) are always in the same place
Embedded videos work within the page and allow the user to go directly to the video page or my YouTube page.
Design
Original design for the page was to use a colour scheme of black background, red content box and white writing.
However once the current background was added as a test, it was decided to keep it and work around that.
Content boxes were still added but were made transparent so the image could still be seen.
About me Page
This page contains details about me, the layout is the same as the home page.
A picture is included for relevance.
My Videos Page
This page contains videos from my YouTube page
Embedding was simple thanks to YouTube's build in embedding code
However the embedding code is not XHTML strict
My Pictures page
Pictures are displayed in tiles, in groups of 3
When using Firefox, the user can right click on each image to view them full size
Page can easily be altered to allow more or fewer images to be displayed
Contact Details Page
Email addresses were left in their basic form rather than linked via a single word or picture
Other contacts are provided, however details such as phone number and address have been left out for privacy purposes
Different browsers, different results
