COMSOL Multiphysics Intensive Training (2 Days)An intensive introduction to the workflow and key features of COMSOL Multiphysics via a combination of guided hands-on examples, lecture, and tutorials. This course is a recommended prerequisite for all specialized courses.
COMSOL Multiphysics Advanced Training (2 days)Learn how to solve large multiphysics problems efficiently. This is a recommended supplement to the COMSOL Multiphysics Fundamentals Training course.
Moving MeshYou learn the basics of how to treat deforming and moving geometries and meshes in COMSOL Multiphysics® using the Moving Mesh interface and the ALE method.
Solvers & MeshingWith these meshing skills, you can improve your model’s accuracy and computation time while decreasing the memory needed. Various element types will be treated, from free tetrahedral to pyramids, prisms, regular grids, and more. Mesh adaption during solving will also be treated.
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)Learn how to simulate fluid flow with COMSOL Multiphysics and the CFD Module. Topics include single-phase flow (laminar and turbulent), multiphysics flow, and multiphase flow.
Heat TransferLearn how to simulate heat transfer with COMSOL Multiphysics and the Heat Transfer Module. Topics include conduction, convection, radiation, and phase change.
Transport PhenomenaExplore the modeling of fluid flow, heat, chemical and mass transfer problems and gain valuable hands-on experience with COMSOL Multiphysics.

Acoustics Learn how to use the Acoustics Module to model acoustic phenomena in fluid, elastic material, porous media, piezoelectric devices, miniaturized devices, and pipe systems.
Structural MechanicsLearn how to perform structural analyses with COMSOL Multiphysics, the Structural Mechanics Module, and the Nonlinear Structural Materials Module. Topics include structural analysis of linear and nonlinear materials, vibrations, and contact mechanics.
Chemical Reaction Engineering Get an introduction to modeling chemical reactions using COMSOL Multiphysics and the Chemical Reaction Engineering Module in this 1-day course. Fundamentals to COMSOL Multiphysics should be taken prior to this training course.

5-DAYS MAY 14–18 from 9:30–11:30am
DAY 1 Introduction to the COMSOL Multiphysics®
DAY 2 CAD Techniques: Building and Importing GeometriesYou will learn working with the different tools available in COMSOL Multiphysics® to create 2D and 3D geometries. We will also cover geometry import and advanced geometric operations such as working with parametric geometry features. After this session, you will be able to create 3D geometries.DAY 3 Meshing
DAY 4 Understanding Solvers and ConvergenceGet an overview of the importance of using specific solvers for different physical phenomena. You will be comfortable maneuvering the standard solver options available in the software.
DAY 5 Visualization of Simulated ResultsGet an overview of the various visualization options available in COMSOL Multiphysics®. You will learn to create and format 1D, 2D, and 3D plots as well as create animations out of results, export results to text files, and create reports. We will also introduce the Application Builder, a built-in tool in COMSOL Multiphysics®. After this session, you will be able to identify and use the standard postprocessing options available in the COMSOL Multiphysics®.
