THE SIX GREAT ENDS
OF THE
CHURCH
THE ORDER OF MORNING WORSHIP 16TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
10:00 AM JULY 17, 2016
THE FIRST NOTE OF THE PRELUDE begins our worship. Please use the
prelude time to turn your attention to God’s presence and help. As worship is not an obligatory offering unto God, but a natural response to God’s goodness, take time to consider all the reasons, big and small, for which you are thankful unto God. Nurturing our relationships and friendships in fellowship is essential to our life as a congregation, so please continue to do so following our time of worship.
Those who are able are invited to stand. Latecomers may be seated.

Please ask the adult nursery personnel if a youth is necessary.
AFFIRMATION OF FAITH FROM THE BELHAR CONFESSION
Leader: Friends, let us confess our faith! People: We believe in one holy, universal Christian church, the
communion of saints called from the entire human family. Christ's work of reconciliation is made manifest in the church as the community of believers who have been reconciled with God and with one another. Unity is, therefore, both a gift and an obligation for the church of Jesus Christ. This unity must be manifested and be active in a variety of ways: in that we love one another; in that we give ourselves willingly and joyfully to be of benefit and blessing to one another; in that we share one faith, have one calling, work for one cause, and share one hope.
ALL: Thanks be to God, and may it be so!
#429 “Lord, You Give the Great Commission” Lord, you bless with words assuring: (v.5) “I am with you to the end.” Faith and hope and love restoring, May we serve as you intend.
And, amid the cares that claim us, Hold in mind eternity; With the Spirit’s gifts empower us For the work of ministry.

F A I TH FEEDS G ARDE N POTATO PICKING TODAY
In April, our Sunday School classes planted the potatoes in our Faith Feeds Garden. Today after worship, we are going to harvest potatoes. Join us in the garden after worship to pick a potato or two.
COLESLAW IS COMING! The cabbage is almost ready to harvest in the garden. We love
giving coleslaw dressing to the food bank with the cabbages. If you would like to donate some coleslaw dressing, you can leave it on the counter in the kitchen. Thank you so much!
FAITH CHURCH IS A POKESTOP! If you do not know what that means, well...ask someone
young, or young at heart! Happy searching to those who do know what it means! Please feel free to post what you find on our Facebook page!
YOUR CHURCH WEBSITE: SAME ADDRESS, NEW LOOK If you haven’t already noticed, our church website has a new
appearance! Please check it out on your computers AND mobile devices (one of the great new capabilities).
A website is always a work in progress, so it takes your observations and suggestions to make sure it is current, relevant, and reflective of who we are and what we want to communicate about our beliefs and practices. For many folks, clicking through a website is much like walking up to our front door. An impression from a website is virtual curb appeal!
If you have any suggestions about the website (big or small edits), please do not hesitate to contact Ann Lowell at lowellga@ptd.net, the church office, or speak to anyone on the Communications Committee. Enjoy!

Dear Friends,
As our Kenya Partnership continues to move forward we have another opportunity to be a major contributor to their ministry. As many of you know, Faith Church was a major supporter of the Tumaini dormitory caring for hundreds of destitute children.
As we move into the next phase of development, we at Faith Church, can continue to show our love for our Kenyan friends by helping them complete the new Vo-tech School. Please consider being a part of this vital ministry by prayerfully considering your donation. I fully believe we can make a difference in the lives of many levers. Please read Reverend Muindi's APPEAL above.
On your check’s memo line, please write “Kenya Partnership Support 7330.”
In Christ's name,
Jack Decker
