DTMF Based Industrial Automation and appliances

control system

Introduction The term “Embedded” it self represents an

inclusion of several independent devices in to a single chip, which is also called a system on chip.

With the invention of VLSI technology it became possible to develop high speed, low cost, low power, and small in size type integrated circuits.

The Micro controller, that used for this purpose is called IBP (Itty Bitty Processor) or Embedded processor.

The versatility of the micro controller can facilitates to extend its wings in to almost all fields, out of which, the industrial applications is one of the most important.

The multi task oriented systems that cause time delays, which may be inefficient in some application, in such case, the micro controllers which can play an important role as an embedded system design is more suitable one.

Here, we design a general purpose embedded system application “TELECONTROLLED DOMESTIC APPLICAION” is the evidence for the efficient use of automation, and is constructed round the micro-controller and DTMF (dual tone multi frequency) receiver.

We found the software suitable for my project work is Kiel, a Micro controller programming tool for ATMEL and other embedded chips and it is also very simple to use and simulate.

The programming required for this project written in Assembly Level Program, compiled and simulated using Kiel simulator.

All errors were removed successfully and final achieved our goal of project.

Power Supply

Voltages are required to operate various electronic equipment and these voltages are 5V, 9V or 12V.But these voltages cannot be obtained directly. Thus the a.c input available at the mains supply.A step down transformer is employed to decrease the voltage to a required level.

The primary application of rectifiers is to derive usable DC power from an AC supply. Virtually all electronics except simple motor circuits such as fans require a DC supply but mains power is AC so rectifiers find uses inside the power supplies of virtually all electronic equipment.

DTMF Decoder DTMF Decoder is a very easy to use

program to decode DTMF dial tones found on telephone lines with touch tone phones. DTMF Decoder is also used for receiving data transmissions over the air in radio frequency.

This project displays telephone numbers decoded from tones. A microphone picks up the tones, a preamplifier boosts the signals.

implemented with Atmel 89S52 MCU in

embedded system domain. The proposed

method is verified to be highly beneficial for

the domestic and industrial purpose.
