• Musical instruments that are used to create mood can either be diegetic or non-diegetic.
• A guitar is used in the fault in our stars as a way of showing that the main character is in a bad mood and the support working is trying to lift it. This is diegetic sound.
• Non diegetic sound is used when music is played over the top of the scene. To show the characters feelings.

Costumes
My Film
Setting - My film will have 2 locations, it will be set in a college and inside a house allowing the audience to see when the disruption of the equilibrium occurs.
Sound – I will use diegetic to show where the setting is such as background chatter when filming in the college, I will then use non-diegetic music to create suspense over the audience while she is taking a pregnancy test.
Props – The main props I will use for my film will be a car and a pregnancy test but to the genre obvious I will have flowers on the table to make it obvious.
Costumes – My main character will be wearing very casual clothes such as Jeans and a T-Shirt this will show that she has been to a place where it is more acceptable to wear casual clothes.
