COORDINATING CONJUNCTIONS

A coordinating conjunction joins parts of a sentence (for example words or independent clauses) that are grammatically equal or

similar.

EXAMPLE

Look at these examples - the two elements that the coordinating conjunction joins are shown in square brackets [ ]:
