The following items are from past exams at the University of Melbourne. They are
copyrighted and not for distribution.
The aim of this survey is to examine the types of content questions that civil
engineering students are asked in the first cycle of their studies. This should, in turn,
inform progress regarding the ‘above content’ items for AHELO.
Many of the University of Melbourne exams contained specific Australian contexts
and procedure. However, there were also many contexts which can be appropriated
to an international arena. Several questions follow below for direct analysis.
