A personal timeline

of educational technology

My name is Cortney Yasuhara.I started school in 1992 at Wai-

Kahala KCAA preschool.I graduated from Kalani High School

in 2006.I first attended college in Fall 2006

at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

When I complete my degree, I hope to become either a Pre-K or Kindergarten teacher.

• I would like to have enough laptops for all my students to use. The laptops will all have Internet access, along with educational programs that my students will be able to play with.

• I would also like to have video conferencing. Video conferencing will help create a collaborative learning experience for myself and my students by virtually taking us to places we need to see.

A challenge for teaching

• Having all my students be able to use technology

• Having all my students keep up with their class work

• Having a limited amount of resources for classroom use

• Keeping up with all the new technological advances.
