Who can use this service?

The Consumer Health Information Center is open to the

public.

The services of the Medical Librarian are available to

all members of the Southern Adirondack Library System.

Do I need to have a library card?

You will need to have a library card to take out books

and to use some of the online databases from home.

You do not need to have a library card (although it

would be nice!) to contact the Medical Librarian for

information or to use the consumer health materials in

the library.

How much does it cost?

This service is free.

How long does it take?

Information packets are typically prepared within

24 hrs. If we have to order a book or journal

article from another library, a longer wait may be

necessary .

Information packets can either be mailed to you

or you may pick up it up at the library.
