Configuring Location Document

Location Document consists of Lotus User’s personal settings.

1.To configure Lotus Notes for more it is always advisable to configure location document for each user.

For the same go to file mobile locations …

2.Click on pull down menu of New Location.

3.On Basics Tab, select Loaction Type Local Area Network. Location Name will be typically user name. Internet mail address is users internet address.(Internet

address of user is mentioned in person document of Domino Directory.)

Keep other options as default only.

4.On Server Tab , Home Mail Server is IGSMALDOM01 for Malad user. Domino Directory Server is IGSMALDOM01. Keep other options as default.

5.On Ports tab , Only TCPIP port is needed as user is mails through LAN.

6.On Mail Tab, Mail file Location On Server , as users are accessing mails

from directly server. Mail File mail\***.nsf , this mail file name is specified in

users person document in Domino Directory. Keep other options as Default.

7.On Internet Browser Tab , select Microsoft Internet explorer. This setting is used to open Internet Links in a mail.

8.On Replication Tab,Enable replication for Laptop Users Only, if You find Replication enabled for any desktop user, pls disable it.

9.On Instant Messaging Tab, In Connect field change setting to Manual.

As we don’t use Sametime Server for internal Chat , this tab dose’nt carry any significance at IGS.

10.On Advanced Tab , in Basics click on user id to switch to button & select path of the id file.Keep all other options on Advanced Tab in default state.

10.Path of ID file will be as shown below.

11.On Administration Tab, Click on twisty that will open window to select the name, in Choose address book field select Intelenetglobal’s Directory & select the name of the User.Owner is user & Administrator is Mail Master.

12. On left bottom corner , You can select Required Location as shown below.

13. Delete all other Locations like home ,Internet,office ,Travel .
