There are many types of licenses that you can get from Creative Commons• Attribution• Share Alike• No Derivatives • Non- Commercial• Non- Commercial Share Alike• Non- Commercial No Derivatives

Attribution

Means people can use it commercially, and create new versions of it. Which is sort of like using it as a template then changing it around completely.

Share Alike

People can also use it commercially, and they must license the new work under a Share Alike license.

No Derivatives

People can use it commercially, but they cannot create new versions of it.

Non- Commercial

People cannot use it commercially, and it can be under any non- commercial license.

Non- Commercial Share Alike

People can’t use it commercially, and they have to put the new work under a Non-Commercial Share Alike license.

Non- Commercial No Derivatives

People cannot use it commercially, and they cannot create new copies of it.

Creative Commons lets people sort of use YOUR work…

• Creative Commons lets people change your work around a bit, until its just how they want it to be.

• Unlike Copyright, you can use people’s work.

• Only one thing: You have to give credit to the person who originally created the work.

• Creative Commons and Copyright SORT of have close intentions, but they are different.
