Getting Started…1. SIGN IN TO ARCGIS ONLINE

2. OPEN OUR MAP OF THE CARIBBEAN3. CLICK ‘MODIFY MAP’

Make all layers visible.‘Change Symbols’ for Caribbean Ports

Under OPTIONS: Change Symbols

Choose an appropriate symbol for PORTS.

‘Change Symbols’ for Caribbean Countries

Choose Unique Symbols

To Show: Country_Name

‘Create Labels’ for Caribbean Countries

‘Create Labels’ for Caribbean Ports.

*make the font smaller for Caribbean Ports

Add MAP NOTES Layer

Name it ‘From Havana’

Find the 2 ports you are measuring. Zoom.

Click Edit

Draw a line between the two ports

Activate the ‘Measure’ tool.Measure the distance between the two.

Calculate the cruising time.Label the distance & time on the line.

Repeat these steps for the next PORT.
