Randstad Technologies was the predecessor of what is now known as YACHT, and

special ized in connecting IT-professionals to companies.

As an interaction / UX designer at Randstad Technologies it was my responsibil ity to

design and supervise the construction of the website. This included working closely

together with developers and designers , taking lead, consulting management and

making sure that the project made its deadline while achieving the desired result : a

website that al lowed for smooth user interaction and also emitted the r ight brand

identity .

Overstappen.nl is an online platform that al lows users to compare their current energy

contract with real t ime energy prices enabling users to switch from energy supplier . My

job as an interaction / UX designer and online strategist at Overstappen.nl was to get as

many users possible to use the service and making sure Overstappen.nl and all of her

subsidiary websites delivered the best user experience.

Creating surveys to gather user insights and bring these insights into design was an

important part of my role.

YACHT is a large supplier of workforce. In 2015 the company decided on redefining its

mission statement, their branding as well as their visual appearance on -and offline.

I was responsible for designing the rebranded website that conveyed the newly formed

brand identity and which functioned as the primary lead generator . Working closely with

stakeholders , establishing a great working relation with developers , creating support for

our plans through prototyping and iterations and working closely together with the

online strategist / user researcher I was able to take the team through the design

process and was part of leading the website to a successful launch.

As lead UX of the mobile apps team at Randstad I am responsible for shaping the app’s

user experiences for our Dutch market as well as for global Randstad init iatives. This

includes developing new features and concepts based on user and business goals ,

creating design systems for global usage and organizing and partaking in gathering user

insights.

Being co-responsible for setting up the UX research division at Randstad Netherlands

and being an advocate of gathering and uti l izing user research within products, I love

making the user part of what I create. From receiving feedback during gueri l la tests to

setting up and participating in various qualitative researches (from usabil ity tests to

diary studies) , my passion l ies within creating products that users not only have to use

but want to use.

What I love about my job is the mix of design, tech and the human factor . Empathizing

through research, monitoring and anticipating behaviour through quantitative insights,

i terating and prototyping - polishing design as you go. Understanding, influencing and

creating behaviour, making the creative process an inclusive one; guiding designers ,

developers and stakeholders al l the way from ideation to getting apps ready for release

in the app stores.
