GOVERNOR MESSAGE
"Rotarianism" is the magic
word that day after day is
transformed into reality and
increases quality and
dimension.
We have seen that in these
last few weeks where we did
the rotary district 4370 and
the 4380 two
commemorative activities of the 88 years of Rotary in Venezuela: a floral offering
to the “Father of the Homeland” Simón Bolívar in the Plaza El Hatillo in Caracas
city, accompanied by a solemn mass of thanksgiving celebrated in the church of the
same town and a week later a Seminar of Membership, Image and Rotary
Foundation in San Cristobal city.
The seminar was attended by a large number of Rotarians in 4380 (approximately
250 enrolled) of our (50 registered) and forged, the organizers of the event, a
phrase that remain for years. "We are not two districts, we are a family".
Indeed, we are a family and we are moving together toward a single goal. There
was an exchange of ideas with Governor Guillermo Soto and the basis for future
activities and development projects together were laid.
Connection of the organizers of the Rotaplast Program of RC
Cumanagoto with medical Rotarians from San Cristobal to transmit
knowledge and promote successful activity that performs there.
The Rotary Foundation for education and prevention of diabetes, under
development in our district and in formation of regional chapters, got so
popular that Dr. Angel Gonzalo Medina, Rotarian and President of
Sofitasa, the largest banking institution in the Táchira State, offered the
full support of his bank.
The agreement between the Government of the 4370 District and
Banplus on the use of credit cards for the last financial return
proportional expenditure that was accepted and requested that it
implemented in the 4380 District.

Continue GOVERNOR MESSAGE
Other initiatives proposed by Governor Soto on bi-districts events were taken as necessary to enrich
knowledge and increase the Rotary fellowship of Venezuela near the islands of Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao.
The Community Radio program, masterfully led by fellow Roxanys Paredes, this government hired to
disseminate concepts and Rotary activities is running a weekly hour: provides information on events of the two
districts through interviews and comments.
Let us then, the undertaken way, supplement and let’s make history in moments where the Rotarianism became in "Family".
Yours in Rotary,
Leone Rossi

the anniversary week in the two districts with varied
activities.
The first, in the village of El Hatillo where a Mass of
thanksgiving was held in the Church of Santa Rosalia
Palermo celebrated by Monsignor Carlos Rodriguez and
Pastor Numa Rivero, honorary members of Rotary La
Lagunita - El Hatillo. I thank the choral group "The Acerita"

spirituality and beauty.
We continue with the wreath at Father of the Nation, with the
participation of the Municipal Band of Hatillo;
We deliver post mortem acknowledgments music teacher
Jorge Serrano and our dear "Juancho" Navarrete RC Caracas
and had the animation of the "zanqueros" Municipal School

Moreover, at the close of the second activity that consisted in
carrying of a bi-district seminar, the governors of districts
4370 and 4380 delivered during the closing plenary post-
mortem acknowledgments former governors Raul Lara,
Margarita Kattan, Saverio Bertolino and Olga Naranjo.
Because this October the Professional Service, I congratulate
to the different personalities awarded as public servants of
the year in each club and the organizers and feted at a
similar event in San Cristobal called "Rotary Prestige".
In another vein, I must thank the exquisite hospitality
received in our almost completed official visits, which missed,
and the wonderful experiences in the celebrations on the
Friendship Cup. In each issue, the clubs tried very hard to
offer the most native to their regions.

REVIEW RECEIVED
The next two pages are for reporting ASSISTANCE. Congratulations Rotary Clubs SAN ANTONIO DE LOS ALTOS, AL-
TAMIRA-METROPOLITANO, ALTO PRADO, EL PEÑÓN, GUANIPA and LAGUNITA-EL HATILLO for being the first to
do so through ClubRunner, on October 30, 2014.
We apologize for the inconvenience presented by the ClubRunner 1 to November 4 negatively affected the at-
tendance report.
We invite all club secretaries to perform this task, maximum within 5 days after the end of the month, when the
MONTHLY LETTER with the received data is sent. Also we invite you to make the report either directly the
District Secretary as through ClubRunner.
It would be great to have information on the number of partners at the end of each month, and check the in-
crease of the number of partners and not lose sight of this important parameter for our district.
On Sunday, October 19, Rotary Caroní
organized the fifth edition of the Walk
5K “Senos Saludables” which had the
participation of more than 1200 people
and under the tutelage of Assia
Marggorie Navas. Photos: Alfredo Elías
Pérez Vivas who received the surprise
to listen his “Happy birthday” sung by
the 1,200 attendees.
Last September, as part of the celebration of 500 years of
Cumana, Rotary Nueva Toledo held its “VIII Cup Swim-
ming Open Water”, with a massive participation of about
1,000 swimmers from 7-70 years.

RECONIGTION TO VOCATIONAL SERVER
Governor Leone, ask me recognize the valuable and self-
less help, it is currently difficult to find in very few people,
but they exist, and an example is our dear fellow JUDITH
HAMILTON for her great dedication and time bound for
the recovery of our Rotarian friend ITZHAK MISRAHI,
who suffered a serious accident car, which forced him to
be initially in intensive therapy and hospitalized after a
very long process recovery; thankfully Itzhak has been
improving and already he can walk. See him in the photo
at our meeting on October 30, Rotary Cafetal. This men-
tion of Judith in the "Governor Letter", I agree totally.
After talking with Gisela Mendez, wife of PGD Oscar
Mendez, she commented that she received from Judith a
similar level of care, when she was hospitalized in Cara-
cas, with a broken hip, and told me that “she felt embar-
rassed for the care and attention by Judith that one as-
sumes or wait close relatives, but that is not common find
it a friend, with the level of dedication that Judith made”.
She’s our friend Judith, our respect and consideration.

Cumana, Venezuela 2014 - Day 2 - Oct 28 - Clinic Day
Up at 6 am for breakfast, bus to Hospital Julio Rodriguez for the new patient Clinic at 7 am. Our task for the day is to regis-
ter and examine all waiting potential patients. We've been informed by our Rotary Club Cumanagoto partners that there
may be as many as 300 patients waiting to be examined. Wow, an all-time-record. After the bus ride to the Hospital we
posed momentarily for a group photo. A great photo for a group racing (at 7:30 am) to get started for the first clinic day.
The lines of patients were long all
day and wrapped around much of the
building. This presented great pressu-
re on all of the clinic stations: patient
registration, photography, PACU for
weight and vital signs, doctors and
anesthesiologist for close examina-
tion and surgical decisions, pediatri-
cians, and finally speech pathology
and dental examination.
