fulfilling the purpose of this project (journey) in its true spirit. The project has been able to connect with
6 beneficiaries via telephonic calls headed by Mrs. Saina Ruzbeh Barucha, Permanent Trustee, India
Vision Foundation. These heart to heart conversations aimed to reassure and also extend support to the
children who have been a part of the foundation.
The project envisages to connect, empower, and help individuals to raise their voice and sensitize society
about their struggles & stigma. And to bring equality & give a platform to their unique calibre that will
help them to outshine.

सरी पहल- A SECOND CHANCEIs an initiative that will provide women with the much-needed supportthat they require to start their lives afresh. Women post release face amyriad of challenges, one of the major being unemployment due to thestigma that society has towards persons attached with correctionalinstitutions. Rehabilitation is imperative to reduce recidivism. Thiscampaign aims to not only empower women post release from prisonbut is also the first important step towards creating a crime freesociety by significantly reducing the chances of recidivism.

Introducing Project
"Ujjwal Kal"
Sensitizing children & parents towards self-reliance
program not only sensitized the parents & children, but also
empowered them to take necessary steps for their children's
admission. These persistent efforts helped 8 beneficiaries to get
admissions in the month of October.
Program's youth beneficiaries along with students from class 10th &
12th have started taking up part time jobs to not only help their
family financially but also to support their higher education. One of
the beneficiary with her savings has been able to help her brother
to purchase a smart phone to continue his studies via online
classes.
Session on Confidence building
As a part of weekly sessions, a session on confidence was conducted
with the beneficiaries. Various activities/role play helped children to
learn how they can be confident in doing different things in various
aspects of life. The session was received well by the beneficiaries.

My experience with the organization was good. I would like to thank theorganization for giving me an opportunity to interact with the childrenwhich helped me develop my own skills. Interacting with children gave me afirst-hand experience to understand them from different perspectives. Also, this internship provided an understanding of community development. Iwould really like to thank the team members of project Children ofVulnerable Families to help me during the sessions

It was a great experience interning with India Vision Foundation. It’s beenalmost 3 years now that I have been following India Vision Foundation’swork and finally got a chance to intern with them. Working at groundlevel helped me to not only grow as a student but also a person. Duringmy internship, I realised how small little things make such big impact insomeone’s life. I also got to know about many government policies which Iwas not aware of. I’m very lucky to get a chance to intern with such acreative and helpful team.

I am Navya Kumar. I am pursuing my BA in Applied Psychology fromChinmaya University, Kerala. Just like any other confused teenager, I hadbeen switching through subjects and hobbies to find that one professionthat clicks. By the time I completed my twelfth, I had decided thatpsychology was that one subject where I could just fit in. I wish to studymore, discover the depths of the field to understand it better and be ableto apply all the acquired knowledge for the better cause. I interned withIndia Vision Foundation to experience something I had never done, to beable to understand my strengths and weaknesses and be able to work onthem.
